PORTLAND, Maine, March 10 /PRNewswire/ -- TD Banknorth announced today that the company invested a record $12.3 million in local communities through charitable donations and local sponsorship commitments in 2007.
The charitable giving arm of TD Banknorth Inc., the TD Banknorth Charitable Foundation made 690 grants totaling more than $7.6 million to community-based organizations over the past year. In addition, TD Banknorth provided $4.7 million in financial support in the form of local sponsorships to more than 1,800 community groups, events, festivals and fundraisers throughout the bank's Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, ...
