Mrs. Robinson, 28 years later, is still in good shape.
To a generation of newly rebellious moviegoers, and pop-record buyers, Anne Bancroft will always be the hip and self-absorbed older woman who seduced young Dustin Hoffman in the trend-breaking classic ``The Graduate'' in 1967. Mrs. Robinson, the character, was immortalized in song as well as film with ``The Graduate'' going in the record book as the film that first proved that young ticketbuyers could make a hit all their own.
Movies have never been the same since.
