The NMV5000 DCG five-axis machining center is said to achieve high accuracy by increasing machine rigidity with DCG technology and a box-in-box construction. This minimizes vibration by pushing moving structural parts along their simulated centers of gravity. As a result, machining accuracy is improved, machining time is reduced and tool life is extended, the company says. Furthermore, the machine's box-in-box construction achieves a structure with zero overhang to balance guideways and drives and allow stable feeds at high speeds.
To further improve the machine's precision, the NMV5000 DCG implements direct-drive motors on the B and C axes. ...
