NEW YORK, March 12 (AScribe Newswire) -- Leaders of the Sex Workers Project (SWP) at the Urban Justice Center, which seeks to protect the human and legal rights of sex workers are available for interviews. The SWP worked with New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer's office to draft the "anti-trafficking" law that the state of New York passed in 2007, differing with him on several key points: the law's - and the governor's - excessive focus on attacking prostitution rather than trafficking, which are very different; and their position that greater punishment for clients of sex workers is a way to deter demand.
