Another convincing victory for the Leigh first team against a Lymm side who were comfortable victors in the early season meeting between the two sides at Hand Lane.

Playing against a strong wind, it was the experienced Lymm side who made the early running and a try after ten minutes was just reward for their early pressure. But a penalty goal by Wood reduced the deficit and with seconds left in the first half they were to strike a decisive blow.
