A Hurricane Force 12 gust of 66 knots was recorded at Rye Harbour at the height of the storm on Monday morning.
The Rye area was put on flood alert this week but Luckily escaped any damage.
Incredibly, a handful of wind surfers took to the sea at Camber on Monday, but were not in difficulty.
