OAKLAND, Calif., March 13 (AScribe Newswire) -- While tuberculosis (TB) cases dropped 1.9 percent in California (2007 compared to 2006), increases were experienced in 16 of California's 61 local health jurisdictions. In recognition of World TB Day on March 24, the American Lung Association of California is urging the state of California to avert a resurgence of TB by increasing funding for prevention and control efforts.
