THE biggest ever gathering of jesters will descend on Hebden Bridge today.

Around 60 fools will clown around the town as it holds a springtime moot - the official term for a meeting of jesters.

Local jesters Will Tease and Elfin Bryan will play host to the day, which will also see them become the official jesters of Hebden Bridge.

Jester Bryan said: "It is going to be great. When you get a lot of jesters together anything can happen."

Children and adults alike are expected to turn out with bunting and flags to be entertained by the jokers who will travel from across the UK for the event.
