BRAZEN thieves demolised the side wall of a filling station to steal more than [pounds sterling]4,000 worth of cigarettes.
The thieves struck at Walcot Service Station, in Lutterworth Road in the village, overnight between 10pm Thursday (March 6) and 7am the following morning, smashing a hole in the wall and breaking a door inside to gain entry.
Insp Siobhan Barber, head of Harborough and Lutterworth police, said it is not known how the burglars broke through the wall but said [pounds sterling]300 in cash and [pounds sterling]4,500 worth of cigarettes were taken in the raid.
