PRAGUE. MARCH 13. INTERFAX CENTRAL EUROPE - Slovakia's dominant electricity producer Slovenske elektrarne (SE), majority owned by Italy's Enel, increased net profit two-and-a-half-fold to SSK 3.61 bln in 2007, despite lower sales, a company spokesman said Thursday.

"The profit was fueled by the buyout and sale of electricity in a volume of 1,500 gigawatt hours (GWh)," SE's Juraj Kopriva said, as cited by Czech news agency CTK.
