XM Radio is launching a new channel dedicated to the music of George Strait.
"Strait Country" will begin April 1 on XM channel 17 and will be available at XM Radio Online. It will operate through May 31.
Its launch coincides with the release of Strait's 37th album, "Troubadour."
The station will feature songs from Strait's catalog, exclusive interviews with friends and close colleagues, original programming, and tracks off the new album every hour.
"It's always a thrill to hear one of your songs played on the radio, but to have XM Radio dedicate an entire channel to my music is just amazing," the reclusive Strait said in a statement.
