WESTERN Province A Team successfully held off a determined late challenge by KwaZulu-Natal Central A to win the Lifesaving South Africa senior Inter-Provincial Surf Lifesaving Championships at Big Bay, Bloubergstrand, in the Western Cape, yesterday.
But it was very close, with the two teams of six male and six female lifesavers locked at 78.5 points each with two events remaining after the women's ski race in which KZN Central swooped into the first two places with Natalie Veckranges first and Kendall Artz second.
