MALAYSIA'S MANUFACTURING SALES IN JAN JUMP 14.8 PCT YR-ON-YR
KUALA LUMPUR - Malaysia's manufacturing sales jumped 14.8 per cent to RM46.69 billion (US$14.8 billion) in January 2008 from RM40.66 billion a year earlier, the Statistics Department said on Monday.
It attributed the rise to better sales of refined petroleum products (RM2.59 billion), basic chemicals (RM510.8 million) and office, accounting and computing machinery (RM485.3 million).
