DO South Africa's rugby bosses not trust Springbok coach Peter de Villiers enough to allow him to be his own man?
The unacceptable delay with De Villiers's contract negotiations is about much more than just money and having the final say in selection.
De Villiers, to his credit, has fought for his rights as Bok coach and to be treated in an equal manner as his predecessors. From the moment he was appointed, he maintained that he did not want to be known as a black Bok coach, but rather as the next Bok coach.
