Polish president joins conservative opposition in demands for preamble to Lisbon Treaty
WARSAW. MARCH 18. INTERFAX CENTRAL EUROPE - Polish President Lech Kaczynski said in an address to the nation aired late Monday that he would propose his own version of a bill that would authorize him to ratify the European Union's reforming treaty, known as the Treaty of Lisbon.
"In the nearest future I will make a presidential initiative of a ratification bill that will guarantee the inviolability of the provisions of the Lisbon Treaty that are good for the country, one that will require national unity for any changes in the treaty's provisions," the president said. ...
