BANGKOK, Thailand, Mar. 18, 2008 (IPS/GIN) -- The International Labor Organization office in Burma began receiving many more complaints last September about children being forced to join the Burmese army, according to a new report.

The International Labor Organization (ILO) report made a pointed reference to the shift noticed since September 2007, the month when the Burmese junta launched a brutal crackdown on peaceful street protests led by thousands of Buddhist monks chanting a prayer for loving kindness.
