Corn starch prices drop this week
Shanghai. March 19. INTERFAX-CHINA - Domestic corn starch prices have dropped to their lowest level this year, following their continued downward trend since the Chinese New Year in mid February, according to statistics released by Jilin Grain Center yesterday.
"Prices are trading around the lowest level since the start of the year, but prices may stabilize after April. Corn starch stockpiles held by corn processors have been extremely high in corn production areas since the end of last year, and the situation didn't change until this month.
