The Iranian state TV on Oct. 12, 2007, said Tehran and Damascus had agreed to a $1 bn deal under which Iran will export 3 BCM/year of gas to Syria from late 2009. Iranian Oil Minister Gholam-Hossein Nozari said the gas will be delivered via Turkey, which already receives Iranian gas through a pipeline.

The MoU for this was signed in January 2008 by Iran's Deputy Oil Minister Hossein Noqrekar ...
