Fort Myers, Fla. -- Twins players walked into the clubhouse around the start of spring camp last month to find T-shirts in their stalls that, on the front, read: "Goal 162+ (no excuses)."
The back of the T-shirt reads: "prove them wrong," a rallying cry for a team some expect to take its lumps in the AL Central.
It was learned that Michael Cuddyer distributed the shirts, but Cuddyer declined to confirm or deny his involvement, until Thursday.
"I think it was a foregone conclusion that I bought them," Cuddyer said. "I just didn't want the focus to be on me that I bought them. It's not about me. ...
