A Sudbury silk weaving firm's longest-serving employee has retired.
Olive Siggers bade farewell to colleagues at Vanners, following her 63rd birthday on Thursday.
She had been at the company for 46 years - and said she's enjoyed it all.
When she began work, in 1962, the industry was less automated and employees used narrow-width shuttle looms to create the cloth.
Today there are fewer weavers operating around 50 automated machines, but the factory produces much more silk. Mrs Siggers said some things did not change.
