Canadian-born Brian Barrett is looking for help in his quest to trace his family history.
Mr Barrett, who lives in Ottawa, and his cousin have been compiling a family history from archives and websites.
So far, the pair have traced family members back to the early 1800s. They have also established that the majority of their family history can be found in a region no bigger than 40 square miles around Soham, Newmarket and Thetford.
Mr Barrett's family left Newmarket in the early 1900s when his father, Alex Barrett, and several siblings moved to Ottawa.
