The Easter Bunny stands guard at the family room door, while Mrs. Bunny lounges on a nearby couch - exhausted from making all those chocolate eggs.
In addition, the promise of warmer weather raises one's spirit. Warbling birds, budding flowers and wild bunnies hopping in and out of the tall grasses behind my house herald the approach of "The Big Bunny."
As my children got older, the Big Bunny took a different approach to the traditional Easter basket - filling it with chips, pretzels, puddings, even gourmet items.
OK, so they were the only kids in the neighborhood to get cans of mushrooms, smoked oysters and cheeses from the Bunny , but to this ...
