Team A Step Ahead triathletes won four first place finishes at the Nautica New York City Triathlon. Capturing the top awards in all of the categories for lower extremity amputees, the athletes and the rest of the team set great examples as to how to live life without limitations. All nine of the Team A Step Ahead athletes qualified for the World Triathlon Championships in Hamburg, Germany on September 2. In addition, one of Team A Step Ahead's athlets, Amy Palmiero-Winters was the first amputee triathlete to compete in the elite able-bodies division.
