This is a truly great era in which to be a baseball fan.

I know, there are plenty of downsides to today's baseball experience. There's the overhyped, oversaturated media coverage; there's the insipid, loud music blaring from ballpark speakers; there's interleague play and the designated hitter; there's too much Joe Buck and Thom Brenneman and too little Jon Miller and Vin Scully; there's the ugly, self-righteous, and spectacularly hypocritical steroids scandal; and, of course, there's Bud Selig.
