Introduction

Vojvodina is a province in the northern part of the Republic of Serbia. As a flat region along the mid-course of the Danube, Vojvodina is a geographic area with considerable economic potentials. For this reason, it has always attracted different national groups and represents a traditional immigration-receiving region in Europe with an exceptionally heterogeneous ethnic structure of the population.
