ROYALSTON - Hiking through the woods of Royalston on a cold November day, a local sage at his side, Peter Zheutlin came face to face with Royalston's wild man.
The face was on an 1800s photograph supplied by one of the wild man's descendants; the sage was retired Telegram & Gazette reporter Dick Chaisson, but the story, especially a little embellished, would have been appreciated by Annie Kopchovsky.
It is the tale of a writer, his long-lost celebrity relative and tabloid journalism at its best.
