UXBRIDGE - With a proposed budget for fiscal 2009 that contains no fat, according to the town manager, but creates the possibility of an approximately $750,000 deficit in school officials' budget request, school officials want to continue discussions in preparation for the May annual town meeting.
School Committee member Jane F. Keegan said
the public, along with town and school officials, needs to work on the proposed school budget for fiscal 2009.
"It will be up to people to recognize the excellent education kids are getting here," Ms. Keegan said. "And see if they will decimate the system or not."
