Pain 101--questions of assessment, treatment, and concerns with addiction exist with every nurse when considering pain management. Each client, patient, residents deserved to have their pain recognized and managed. Knowledge of pain management is always in need of supplementation--what kind of pain does one have? What works best for the person? Sometimes, what I am observing as a nurse does not match the patient's stated pain.
