CRISPS are to be banned from vending machines in 130 hospitals in a drive to encourage patients and visitors to eat more healthily.
The junk food favourite will join chocolate and fizzy drinks on a blacklist, making way for wholesome muesli bars, nuts, raisins and fruit juices.
The ban affects all hospitals in Wales - which suffers some of the highest rates of diet-related illness - and could be rolled out across the rest of the UK within two years.
