Taxi driver is 'executed' in front of his partner and son
A taxi driver was stabbed more than 20 times as he was murdered in front of his partner and the little baby son "he lived for".
Gardai continued to hunt a couple in their 20s last night in connection with the killing of young father Mark Smyth (31).
Bloodstains could still be clearly seen yesterday at Fortlawn Avenue, in Dublin's Blanchardstown, where the off-duty driver died in the front garden of a house.
His shaken brother, Pat, visited the scene to lay a wreath, as gardai continued their forensic examination near the blue tent marking the spot where the man had died.
