High Point- Rick Armstrong of Homer Gregory in Morehead, Ky., was named the chairman of Appalachian Hardwood Manufacturers Inc. at its 2008 annual meeting.
He received the gavel from John Crites of Allegheny Wood Products in Petersburg, W.Va., at the trade group's Chairman's Banquet. Armstrong will lead the organization until 2010.
Other elected officers are Jimmy Powell , Canton Hardwoods, Canton, N.C., chairman-elect; Chris Keziah , Oak Ridge Hardwoods, Oak Ridge, Tenn., vice chairman of finance; and Crites, who is past chairman.
