Jacoby Ellsbury was everywhere yesterday.
He was on the back page of the Herald, making a spectacular catch on Opening Day. He was on the cover of Sports Illustrated, featured with five other young players (including teammate Clay Buchholz) who make up the game's new generation of stars, according to the magazine. He cracked the list of top-10 plays on ESPN's "SportsCenter."
Ellsbury was everywhere, except where he was supposed to be - starting in center field for the Red Sox, batting leadoff, doing the job that we expect him to do for the next 10, 12 or 15 years.
