BEIJING, March 28 Asia Pulse - The People's Bank of China issued 35th and 36th phases of central bank bills totaling 144 billion yuan (US$20.486592 billion) today.
So far the central bank has issued an accumulated around 1.7 trillion yuan worth of central bank bills this year, and made more than 1.8 trillion yuan worth of repo operations.
In addition, the central bank announced raising the deposits reserve requirement ratio of financial institutions by 0.5 percentage points on Jan. 16 and March. 18 respectively, which froze about 400 billion yuan in total.
