The prevailing conventional wisdom the defense and aerospace industries are seriously ailing markets is a bit off the mark and has created an environment that turns off talented job seekers, the chief executive of the nation's largest defense company said yesterday.
Daniel Tellep, CEO of Lockheed Martin, said the number one concern of top technical operations' executives at his company is "the ability to attract new grads and also experienced personnel to this industry." Job cuts are less a concern among these executives, he noted.
