SAN DIEGO, March 31 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Gen-Probe Incorporated announced today that the Company has begun a pivotal U.S. clinical trial of its investigational APTIMA(R) assay to detect human papillomavirus (HPV), which causes cervical cancer.
