AFTER wowing the judges with a 'mesmerising performance' on Saturday night, Laxey girl Samantha Barks is safely through to the next round of BBC talent show I'd Do Anything.
The 17-year-old sang The Arrows' classic I Love Rock 'n' Roll in the first live show of the series, which is hunting for the perfect performer to play Nancy in Sir Cameron Mackintosh's latest production of Oliver!
'I had a good chat with her a couple of days before the show and she was practising very hard,' said her older sister Kim.
'She was more excited than nervous.'
