Fort Myers, Fla. -- Twins righthander Scott Baker's availability for the start of the season is in jeopardy after he struggled through his bullpen outing Monday because of a lingering illness.
He was initially shut down March 8 because of a strained lat muscle, and his return last week was delayed because of the flu. He reported some of the same symptoms Monday from the bug, which has caused him to lose more than 10 pounds. He was scheduled to start Wednesday vs. Tampa Bay. Livan Hernandez now will face the Rays with Baker's next outing to be determined.
