Article: ING GROUP REPORTS CONTINUED STRONG NET PROFIT INCREASE FIRST NINE MONTHS 1995; UP 15 PERCENT TO $1,174 MILLION

AMSTERDAM, The Netherlands, Nov. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- An increase in net profit of 15.0 percent to $1,174 million (NLG 1,883 million) for the first nine months of 1995 compared with the same period in 1994 was reported today by Internationale Nederlanden Group NV (ING Group), Amsterdam-based international diversified financial services group.

Result before taxes rose 16.1 percent to $1,721 million (NLG 2,760 million).

The increase in ING Group profit was due to a significant growth in insurance results plus a handsome growth in banking results.
