China Telecom (HK) to acquire Beijing Telecom from parent for $791.7 mln
Shanghai. April 1. INTERFAX-CHINA - Hong Kong-listed China Telecom Corp.
Ltd. (China Telecom (HK)) announced yesterday that it has agreed to acquire the entire equity interest in Beijing Telecom from China Telecommunication Corp., China Telecom (HK)'s controlling shareholder, for RMB 5.557 billion ($791.7 million).
China Telecom (HK) intends to finance the acquisition with internal resources, the company said in a statement.
