UPPER Bann Ulster Unionist MLA Sam Gardiner has called on Waringstown man Alan Clarke, Head of the Tourist Board, to help to promote the entire Bann Valley as a major tourist trail.
"Dr Kathleen Rankin's new book on the houses of what were once called 'the Linenocracy' of the area shows what excellent tourist opportunities the area offers," said Mr Gardiner.
"There are a range of superb country houses which could become the focus for a tourist trail along with former industrial premises.
