Well, did you fall for it? The Chron's April Fool's Day spoof about the proposed demolition of the Express Lifts Tower had dozens of you calling our offices voicing their objections to the plans.
But despite the phonelines being jameed and endless emails dropping in our inbox, there was no need to panic, it was just a wind-up.
Brenda Gordon, of Ecton Brook, said: "I was taken in at first but then I read in the John Grosvenor column about April Fool's and I thought it must be a joke. It was brilliant."
