A synthetic bone paste is now being launched on the European and other non-US markets for use in surgical procedures.
The paste, sold by US company Medtronic Inc and trademarked Nanostim, is a nanohydroxy-apatite-based bone graft substitute that provides a supporting structure for new bone formation, aiding healing in places where voids or gaps exist.
