An interference screw system for use in bone--tendon--bone anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction procedures has gained approval from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
Sports medicine company Cayenne Medical Inc said that its iFix interference screws are the first FDA-approved screws on the market that are manufactured using polyether etherketone (PEEK).
