The majority of the City Council showed support for congestion pricing in a hearing Monday held to discuss Mayor Bloomberg's plan with two of its chief architects, Janette Sadik-Khan, commissioner of the New York City Department of Transportation, and Rohit Aggarwala, director of the Mayor's Office of Long-Term Planning and Sustainability.
Although the meeting did have a stalwart contingent of those on the council who oppose congestion pricing, most grievances aired by the council members appeared directed more towards providing a roadmap for the kinds of revisions city planners could make to all but guarantee the council's approval.
