The post office at Durford Road, Petersfield, sold its last stamp on Monday as it became the latest victim of the network's closure programme.
The branch's loyal customers, who have campaigned to stave off the move, warned that using the town centre Post Office is going to be a "nightmare".
Post master Jo Patel has worked at the Durford Road stores and Post Office for 16 years with his wife Johti. He is resigned to losing the post office but hopes the shop will continue to flourish after the revenue from the post office is gone.
