Article: Bhutan: democracy blended with gross national happiness - The isolated Himalayan nation of Bhutan has had the first democratic election and the process has been smooth and trouble free. Maybe, in the effort of the Himalayan country to deftly mix dem ocracy with gross national happiness, we, Bangladeshis have something to learn.

Unquestionably a good reason why the elections there were not featured on the first pages of our papers though for us, a nation, that is now clamouring for elections at every step, Bhutan poses a good lesson.
