Long, long ago, according to Greek mythology, the gods on Mount Olympus roamed the earth freely, interacting with the mortal men and women whom they met. Some of the humans were superhumans, performing incredible feats that became the subjects of later myths and dramas. Others founded the great nations of the ancient world. Their stories became the legends of the ancient Greeks and Romans. Today, thousands of years later, these tales are still remembered and retold. One such hero was Perseus. His life involved all the elements necessary for a superhero drama: meddling gods, mean relatives, ferocious monsters, and a fair maiden.
