A 31-month-old girl presented to the otolaryngology clinic with a history of a narrow left external meatus since birth. She had been born via a cesarean section, and her left auricle had been lacerated during the incision to enter the uterus. The injury was repaired at that time, but it subsequently progressed to the point where an adhesion had formed between the tragus and the lateral aspect of the posterior external auditory canal (figure).
