Respected businessman and former provincial cricketer Gareth Tindall has been appointed as the new commissioner of The Sunshine Tour.
Tindall, formerly the CEO of Hertz Southern Africa, will take over from Johan Immelman on May 1, 2008.
Immelman vacated his post in December to join his family in the United States.
Tindall inherits a Sunshine Tour that has grown in total prize money from R21-million in 2003 to R50-million in 2008.
