BIRDS of prey aren't the cuddliest pets to have in the home.
Their wildly flapping wings are more worrying than they are cute and they have a tendency to try and outstare house guests - but Swinford woman Kathy Ratcliffe has been obsessed with them since she was a teenager.
Her love of birds of prey began when she was just 14 years old, when she began training and flying her own birds.
Since then, Kathy has owned several different eagle owls, owls and red kites, but at the moment is settled with four-year-old gyrfalcon Daniel and seven- year-old falcon Jaffa (pronounced J'Farr).
